The Future of communication

Animated video that predicts the future of the internet, the growth of virtual worlds and identities. It also gives a quick rundown of events that have happened in the last few years in communication technologies/the internet. The video predicts that we will increasingly live in virtual worlds and will be able to experience all the senses of the real world in digitally, but with greater control. I think it raises some interesting issues about the psychology behind our collective obsession with living digitally (e.g. through social network sites); we are able to project and manipulate our identities to a greater extreme on the internet. For me this really highlights the lack of 'life satisfaction' or fulfillment that a lot of people currently seem to experience in society (maybe it's always been that way, and now we have just been given an outlet to live an alternate reality?).
